“I wanted to thank you for your very interesting workshop. I learnt a lot and it has given me a boost of confidence to help my son with learning. We used the idea of a word box to help with writing this weekend, we put the spellings of the words he might want to use and it totally worked! It was great and my son started writing much more confidently.” Rachel, mother of 1. image

“Thank you Mummy for getting Laura to help me with my scholarship day, it really really helped.” Charlie, aged 9.

“Thanks again for the workshop. I found it really helpful and will definitely be using some of the many techniques.” Leone, mother of 2.

“Thanks so much for the session, I really enjoyed it and Isobel has already enjoyed building a Cheerio tower! I’ll definitely recommend you to others.” Polly, mother of 2.

“Thanks for a great day, I thought it was brilliant and really useful- I will let all my friends know!” Doune, mother of 2.

“Milly absolutely loves her sessions with Little Learning Seeds. She adores Laura and can’t wait for her sessions each week! After just one session her confidence was noticeably different. She has become re-energised and engaged in learning and has become much happier and content at home. As well as supporting Milly, Laura has provided me with the support and tools to enjoy helping my daughter at home. I’m a busy working mum and so I know I can rely on Laura’s advice and Blog to pinpoint the best Apps, tools and techniques from the masses available, as well as using the comprehensive notes from Laura’s sessions.” Kitty, mother of 2.

” I really loved the workshop today – great ideas and tips. I have already shared the booklet with the boys father. We can now both see how there are so many things we can do at home with both boys at their different learning stages. Feeling really inspired and excited about our family learning journey. No tv for the boys tonight far too busy – having fun with all your helpful ideas.” Genella, mother of 2.

“I contacted Laura after finding my eight year old daughter was struggling at school with her reading and spelling. Laura came to our home and straight away she and my little girl bonded. Laura immediately made Erin (aged 8) feel excited and confident about the work they were doing together (I had been worried that Erin would feel self concious or nervous, but there was no reason for that!) and, while washing up in the kitchen, I overheard Erins exclamations of understanding ‘Ooooh, right…’ and ‘Oh, THAT’S what it means!’ within 15 minutes of Laura starting to work with her!
Laura is professional, approachable, fun, calm, flexible (she can work either at our home or at hers and also makes notes & can work via email with Erin’s school teacher so that the work Erin is doing is consistent), understanding, perceptive, thorough and creative – she uses various methods to keep up Erin’s interest and expand her processes, and always has a ‘hand-over’ with me to explain what they have been doing during the session so I can continue to support Erin during the week. I have every confidence in her as Erin’s tutor and would thoroughly recommend her to anyone looking for extra support for their child.”
Erin has this to say about Laura – “I feel really relaxed and I’m really enjoying myself and the work I do with Laura. I get on well with her, she’s a really nice person, she helps me, she doesn’t let me muck about or anything and she’s amazing. Laura is the most amazing tutor that anyone could ever have!” Nova, mother of 2.

“Having worked with Laura Clifford at Knightsbridge School, I already knew what a talented and creative teacher she was. Laura’s passion for early years education is excellent. Her knowledge has sound theoretical foundations but with practical ideas that work in the classroom and at home. Although I work in education myself, when it comes to your own children it is often difficult to think of fresh, age appropriate ideas. One visit from Laura and my reluctant (Reception) writer has a new found love of writing, be it with chalk outside or in shaving foam in the bath! My youngest son (3 years old) also enjoyed joining in with wonderful activities that develop fine motor skills: who knew cereal had so many uses!” Emma, mother of 2.L's Phone Images 03.10.14 4720

“Laura is my phonics guru. The books and flashcards she introduced to my 3
year old son have made learning to read really fun. He is both gripped
and encouraged.” Lucy, mother of 2.

“Laura has helped our three children aged 4, 7 and 9. The children absolutely love their time with her as she manages to stimulate and excite each one according to their individual needs. She is fun, very experienced, adaptable, knowledgeable and punctual.  She understands how children tick and can motivate even the most disinterested to fully engage.  In particular, the improvement in our 4 year old’s ability to sit, listen and engage was notable in a very short period of time. The games she introduced ranging from picking fruit in the garden to apps on the iPad have seen a rapid improvement in his phonics, blending, reading and numeracy. We cannot endorse her enough and wish her every success.” Emma, mother of 3.

“Little Learning Seeds gave us some very timely advice with regards to our eldest son. He is old for his year and all of his friends have gone up to school. Whilst we are delighted with his playgroup we felt he needed some additional learning activities. He was frequently asking to ‘read’ books and signs and we did not have the first clue where to start! Laura from Little Learning Seeds provided us with a list of phonics-based resources and further materials to reinforce these resources. Laura also had the patience to show us how to support our child with basic, entertaining activities. Our son is constantly asking to use his special cards and books and I look forward to using Little Learning Seeds for my younger children.” Hen, mother of 3.

“Our oldest son had Laura as his teacher in our first year in London.  He was going into Year 2 and was on the shy, reserved side.  We were thrilled to have Laura. She was bright, energetic, enthusiastic and a super teacher.  She always did new and exciting things to get the children interested. She was hard working, extremely organised and had endless energy!  She had a genuine interest in helping all her students achieve their potential.  She is one of those teachers that everyone loved; children, parents and colleagues. Unfortunately, our other children did not have her as their form teacher but I hired her to tutor the children at different points. As we all know sometimes children will give their parents a hard time and sometimes as parents we don’t know exactly how to help. With Laura the children were encouraged to do their best and were happy to have their sessions! We all miss her! ” Jennifer, mother of 3.
