The Little Learning Seeds Journey:image

I am Laura, a trained primary school teacher. I have over 10 years experience of teaching in both state and independent schools in Scotland, central London and Devon. I have taught from Reception to Year 6 and until recently I was Head of an independent Pre-Prep and Nursery in the stunning Devon countryside. I have done numerous tutoring roles, successfully enabling children to develop their learning outside the classroom and to pass key exams or assessments. I am married and have two little boys, Master L & H, and a dog called Scrabble.

I am passionate about early learning. Watching my boys develop over the last 3 years has strengthened my view that we, the parents, are vital in every moment of a child’s learning journey. This journey begins at home but soon school is on the horizon and we need to work together with schools and teachers in order to gain the most out of any child’s learning experiences.

I want to pass on my ever-expanding knowledge, skills and understanding of early childhood education and beyond to parents, grandparents, carers and young minds via Little Learning Seeds. I am particularly interested in early reading, writing and numeracy. Here in the UK we start formal education at a young age. In my experience many children or parents are not prepared for the massive leap into full time education. Surely as a parent you want the best for your child and you can easily help them on this journey.

Little Learning Seeds is here to provide ways in which you can help your child’s learning. Whether that’s getting them school ready, recognising numbers, helping with homework or holiday projects, recommending resources, researching the latest educational ideas or simply 1:1 tuition, Little Learning Seeds is here to support you and those ever growing, fertile young minds. I am fully aware of how busy all our lives can be, so let Little Learning Seeds provide thoughts, ideas and fun for you and your family in easy, manageable ways, with great results.
